As a guide only — consumption will depend on breed of turkey, local conditions, particularly temperature and quality of range as well as disease or stocking density.

DEPLETING THE FEED

The ideal is to run out of feed on the last day before killing so as to avoid having a quantity of unsaleable feed left in a bulk bin.

Take time to evaluate the daily consumption before ordering the last delivery. Consider ordering some or all of the last delivery in bags. The extra cost is cheaper than bagging off the bulk bin.
